Become an Online Learning Assistant and make a good income by helping children from the ages of 11-16 with their school work.
Infiniti Platforms Group (IPG) is currently seeking Online Learning Assistants (OLA) to participate in a six-month pilot of an altogether, new exciting means of addressing pedagogy, mental wellbeing and performance: it is called Whole Child High Dosage Support (WCHDS)
It is called high dosage because learners can reach out whenever they need to get their problems/questions addressedat any time after school hours.
How will I get paid?
You will be paid for the hours that you have actually worked according to your declared availability. The minimum rate is 11.50 euros per hour though there are lots of bonuses and ways in which you could increase your rate. For example, if you receive more than ten 4-star ratings from ten different learners then your rate will increase by 2 euros per hour.
How does it work?
PG has designed an interface incorporating chat and whiteboard facilities in the same place so that learners can both type and write their problems and questions. There is no spoken communication or videoconferencing – all communication is conducted via chat messaging systems and an interactive whiteboard. As an OLA you will be provided with all the materials that the questions may be based on – the same curriculum that the students are learning in their school. You can choose which types of subject questions you would be comfortable answering – we will be concentrating on 11-16-year-olds until the end of June 2022.
What do I need to apply?
You need to have an A-Level/A-level equivalent at a grade A or above in the subject you select to help with, a higher education degree (or in the process of obtaining a degree), and be fluent and well versed in written English.
To make sure that you are acquainted with the platform we will be providing webinars that you will be expected to attend – these will not last more than 30 minutes. As an OLA, you will be expected to declare your availability from the outset so that we know when you will be available to respond to learners’ questions.
